Pro-Life Ken Fisher in Hospital, Needs Prayers‏

Please pray for Ken Fisher, veteran Catholic pro-life leader here in Southern California.  He suffered a stroke on Tuesday morning (Feb. 10); he is paralyzed on one side and can only speak a little.  Two priests have visited Ken, and he has received the Sacrament of the Sick.  We have been told that Ken was to be transferred to St. Joseph Hospital in Orange on Thursday evening.

For decades, Ken has worked for preborn babies and the truths of our orthodox Catholic Faith.  He has prayed and sidewalk counseled outside abortion mills countless times.  At the Holy Saturday Rescue (prayerful, peaceful sit-in) in L.A. in 1989, the police broke his arm with a nunchaku.  Ken suffered greatly for the babies and their moms.  So we apply to Ken these words of St. Paul:  From now on, let no man make troubles for me; for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body. -- Galatians 6:17

In the 1970s and 1980s, every Dec. 28, the Feast of the Holy Innocents, Ken's Holy Innocents Reparation Committee held a well-attended candlelight procession in reparation for abortions on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, followed by a Rosary led by movie stars such as Ricardo Montalban and Ann Blyth at Blessed Sacrament Church.  Ken, a Knight of Columbus, has led the effort to expel pro-abortion politicians from the order.  He has also worked tirelessly to educate Catholics about the dangers that doctrinal dissenters pose to them and their children.  Ken has always held priests in such high esteem.  He has always done much for elderly priests.

Please pray that Ken will make a speedy and full recovery and that Jesus and His Mother will protect him from everything that can befall older patients who have no children to care for them.  God reward you for your charity in praying for Ken!  Your friends, Dan & Mike Engler.
